All press-on sets are made-to-order. Once your order is place, please size your nails using the Dime Method and email your photos to lauren@nynailsbylauren.com with your first and last name.
Once I have your nail sizes, I will keep a record for future orders and appointments.

At NY Nails, I use the Dime Method, founded by nail artist Gracie J, to size all press-on nail sets.
How it works:
Photograph each of your fingers, as they are, next to a coin from a bird’s-eye view. Once you place your press-on order, email your photos (10 total, one for each finger) to lauren@nynailsbylauren.com.
I then use those photos to match your nail bed with the proper nail size to provide a custom fit for each client.

Application:
Use a cuticle pusher to gently push cuticles and any dead skin away from the nail plate (cuticle cutting optional).
Use a file or nail buffer to remove all shine from the nail plate.
Use an alcohol wipe to clean all debris from the nail.
Apply nail glue to the entire nail plate, being careful to avoid the skin, and the underneath of the press-on nail.
Starting at the cuticle, apply the press-on nail at a 45 degree angle. Hold for 30 seconds.
Repeat for each nail.
Avoid water or any oil-based products for roughly 12 hours.
*pro tip: use nail primer between steps 3 and 4.
Removal:
Combine soap, warm water and oil in a bowl.
Use a cuticle pusher to try and create space between your nail and the press-on. *this step should not be forceful or painful.
Put on a good show and soak nails in water until they begin lifting.
